Schmidt Synthesizer was born from the vision of German engineer Stefan Schmidt to build a truly uncompromising analogue synthesizer. Developed together with musicians and producers and entirely handcrafted in Germany, Schmidt has become one of the most exclusive instruments in the world of modern analogue synthesis.
What they do
The Schmidt is an eight-voice analogue polyphonic synthesizer featuring a fully analogue signal path with precise digital control. It combines an exceptionally powerful synthesis architecture, dedicated controls for every parameter, true multitimbrality, full MIDI implementation and premium handcrafted construction, making it a flagship instrument for professional musicians, sound designers and recording studios.

Schmidt Synthesizer returns to Soundmit with Axel Fischer, who has represented the brand since its first appearance at Soundmit in 2018. In occasione di questa edizione, oltre all’iconico sintetizzatore analogico hardware, sarà possibile scoprire This year’s edition will showcase not only the iconic analogue hardware synthesizer, but also Schmidt Vi, the new software instrument developed in collaboration with UJAM. Available as VST3, AU and AAX, the plugin faithfully recreates the sound and architecture of the original Schmidt, making one of the world’s most exclusive synthesizers accessible to a much wider audience.
