The rich program of Cremona Musica is taking shape"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>by Maria Musti<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abThe 2024 edition of <em>Cremona Musica<\/em> will feature an unprecedented concentration of <strong>great pianists<\/strong>, and will open up further to the city thanks to the greater offer of <strong>events<\/strong> in the most important cultural venues in Cremona: the <strong>Teatro Ponchielli <\/strong> and the <strong>Museo del Violino<\/strong>\u00bb. This is how <strong>Roberto Prosseda<\/strong>, <em>artistic advisor<\/em> of the Event, begins, underlining its not only commercial nature: the most important European fair dedicated to music is increasingly positioning itself as a cultural and artistic event.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prosseda, takes care of <strong>Piano Experience<\/strong> the Show dedicated to pianos and keyboard instruments, <strong>Cremona Winds <\/strong> and <strong>Mondomusica,<\/strong> then mentions some of the names already confirmed their presence: among the most anticipated, the Irish flautist sir <strong>James Galway<\/strong>, who will receive the <em>Cremona Musica Award <\/em> for the Wind category, the violinist <em>gipsy<\/em> <strong>Roby Lakatos<\/strong> and the French-Cypriot pianist <strong>Cyprien Katsaris<\/strong>, who will participate in the round table dedicated to the French composer <strong>Charles-Valentin Alkane<\/strong>, will be part of the prestigious jury of the <strong>PianoLink <\/strong> International <strong>Competition<\/strong> for amateur pianists, chaired this year by <strong>Jean Marc Luisada.<\/strong> And in the coming weeks the presence of other prestigious guests will be announced.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As usual, the major piano manufacturers will be present, alongside their flagship models, musical moments entrusted to great performers and young people with outstanding talent. The <strong>Fazioli <\/strong> company, for example, returns to Cremona with a program of six concerts: among the most interesting names, the 23-year-old <strong>Elia Cecino<\/strong>, the first Italian to win the prestigious Iturbi competition in Valencia, and <strong>Young Sung Choi<\/strong>, born in 1993, gold medal at the Rina Sala Gallo in 2022. In the <strong>Yamaha-B\u00f6sendorfer <\/strong> program, however, a proposal of notable historical and documentary importance stands out: listening, thanks to the <strong>Disklavier<\/strong> model and its integrated playback system, to performances by important pianists of the past, recorded on rolls. Worth mentioning are the unpublished works by the Polish <strong>Raoul von Koczalski<\/strong>, rediscovered by the young Italian scholar <strong>Federico Foglizzo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another prestigious event, the evening dedicated to the <strong>Stauffer Academy<\/strong>, which will be attended by its historic teachers: <strong>Salvatore Accardo<\/strong> and <strong>Bruno Giuranna<\/strong>. <strong>Franco Petracchi<\/strong>, from October of this year, passes the baton to his student <strong>Alberto Bocini<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The section dedicated to violin making represents the true \u201croot\u201d of Cremona Musica; next to it, the hall dedicated to wind instruments is increasingly becoming another pillar of its strength.
