for the past few years it has also presented on the market a line of wooden passive speakers with a sophisticated design.
We met engineer Emanuele Canale, a 47-year-old from Recanati, a partner and designer of all products, and an important and constant presence at Cremona Musica International Exhibitions and Festival.

What are the origins of your company and how has it evolved?

It was born in 1996 under the name SR Technology: my father Ferdinando was involved in the production of live speakers and mixers.
Collaboration with the most important Italianstick player [specializing in the Chapman Stick instrument, ed.], Virginia Splendore, led to expanding on the acoustic guitar sector.
Careful study and research resulted in high quality amplifiers for the instrument and voice.
For various reasons there was then a separation from SR Technology, which remained in the hands of the Schertler Group, and it was decided to continue in December 2012 with Sound Engineering.
I carry on the company with my sisters Laura and Letizia, taking care of the design and combining my father’s experience with my innovative knowledge.

What sets you apart from your competitors?

We collaborate with trusted musicians, taking care of their needs and staying as true to the sound as possible.
While other firms tend to be traditionalists, we are constantly seeking new things, following the flow of technologies.
Sticking to the past is becoming more and more expensive, considering that certain components are no longer found.
We pay attention to detail with the idea of projecting ourselves into the future.

What then do you propose to your audience?

Products that have features uncommon in the market, such as our All around line, in which we have designed a 360-degree loudspeaker system: it has a very elegant design, designed also for theaters and auditoriums, allowing a faithful and high-quality result.
We have also designed a line of battery-operated amplifiers for street musicians, with no time limit.
We then continue our work in the acoustic guitar sector: our customers come from European countries such as Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, Benelux, Spain, Portugal and Scandinavia.
It is important for us to give the musician a sonic fidelity that allows him to express himself at his best, combining art and innovation.

In cooperation with TGmusic.it

by Sebastiana Ierna The small Marche-based company Acus Sound Engineering has a great deal of experience in the audio field, and has been able to gain notoriety and reputation-especially with regard to the acoustic guitar-for its high quality amplification systems;
