Who is Enrico Crippa and what does he do? <\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Passion for music is the key to everything; without it, it would be truly difficult to continue.<br>I was born a musician and enthusiast, and my research led me to violin making at a very young age. I continued my studies, graduating from the <strong>Scuola di Liuteria Civica in Milan<\/strong>, and after various internships and jobs in the music industry, I opened my own workshop called <strong>&#8220;Sound City&#8221; in Piacenza<\/strong>. I followed my roots and slowly specialized in the restoration of historic vintage instruments produced from the early 1900s to the 1990s.  <br>This has been my job for 15 years now and I would never go back.&#8221;<br><br><\/p><p><em><strong>A meeting between tradition and innovation: what does this dialogue mean?<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Innovation is a concept that has always fascinated me and is part of the social context of my generation; on the other hand, nostalgia for historical periods never experienced is also part of it. <br>Combining these two things isn&#8217;t easy, but it&#8217;s not impossible. Continuing these two parallel lines is instinctive for me; I just try not to force the intersection. <br><br><\/p><p><em><strong>What will you present at the Electric Sound Village in Cremonamusica?<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>This year, I&#8217;ll have the pleasure of presenting a piece of research I&#8217;ve been pursuing for some time: the <strong>HAGA (Historic Authentication Guitar Archive) registry.<\/strong><\/p><p>Thanks to the scientific and methodological support of the <strong>Arvedi Non-Invasive Diagnostics Laboratory of the University of Pavia<\/strong>, located within the <strong>Antonio Stradivari Violin Museum Foundation in Cremona (CR)<\/strong>, I have been able to build, and continue to expand, an archive for research in the field of restoration and certification of the authenticity of vintage instruments.
