Antonio Grande presents Tablataures and their Transcription for Guitar - Edizioni Ricordi

Antonio Grande, guitarist and composer from Naples, performs throughout Europe and Brazil. A specialist in the baroque guitar and an interpreter of contemporary music, he has recorded numerous CDs, published original works and transcriptions, and won composition awards. He teaches at the “G. Martucci” Conservatory in Salerno.

His new volume, designed for the Tablatures and Their Transcription for Guitar exam in Conservatories, is a three-part theoretical and practical manual: an introduction to Renaissance tablature notation for lute, vihuela, and four-course guitar; a guide to transcription into modern notation; and an exercise section featuring twenty-four annotated tablatures. A work that combines rigorous teaching with the enhancement of the 16th-century guitar repertoire.

The presentation will be accompanied by Valerio Celentano’s guitar performances of songs from the book.
