This concert presents the new CD, included with the magazine “Suonare News” in September 2025, is dedicated to three extraordinary women of the Romantic era: Clara Wieck Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, and Pauline Viardot. Their works are presented alongside music by Robert Schumann, creating an ideal dialogue between voices united by the same time, ideals, and poetic intensity.

The project was born from the desire to highlight the music of what is often called the “other half of the sky”: women composers who, despite having created works of rare beauty and depth, have long remained at the margins of musical history. This CD seeks to give them the space they deserve, offering listeners the chance to discover or rediscover an artistic heritage that is both precious and strikingly relevant today.

Eliana Grasso has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall (New York), Wigmore Hall (London), and Sala Verdi (Milan). Winner of international competitions including the International Competition in St. Petersburg and the Festival of Bellagio, she has appeared at leading festivals and collaborated with renowned artists such as Piero Bellugi, Mario Ancillotti and Roberto Bolle. She has recorded for Brilliant Classics, Velut Luna, Da Vinci, Sheva, and Egea. In September 2025 she makes her debut on Suonare News, with a cd dedicated to women composers. Currently, she is Piano Professor at the Conservatory of Aosta.
