Alessandro Artese, born in 2001, began his piano studies at an early age with Valentina Berman. He graduated with top marks, cum laude, and honorable mention from the “G. B. Martini” Conservatory in Bologna. He currently studies with Federico Nicoletta at the “F. Venezze” Conservatory in Rovigo, where he is enrolled in the Single Course, and is further training with Benedetto Lupo at the Pinerolo Music Academy.

Recent winner of the 2025 Lamberto Brunelli Prize, awarded to the best pianists who graduated from Italian conservatories in the previous year, he has won numerous international competitions. Among these are the Massarosa International Piano Competition (1st prize, Best Italian Competitor Award, and Chamber of Deputies Medal, 2024), the Rosario Marciano International Piano Competition in Vienna (Grand Prix and Paderewski Prize, 2024), and the Rome International Piano Competition (1st prize and—by unanimous vote of the jury—the special “National Fryderyk Chopin Institute” prize, 2021). He was also selected among the six finalists of the FVG International Piano Competition, which will take place in 2026.

Alessandro Artese has performed concerts in Italy and abroad. Highlights include two recitals at Frédéric Chopin’s birthplace in Żelazowa Wola, Poland; his debut at the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni in Bologna and the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza with the Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta; two performances of Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto with the Orchestra Sinfonica del Molise conducted by Michele Campanella; and solo recitals in Bydgoszcz for the prestigious Paderewski Festival, and in London and Vienna.
