Cremona Acoustic Blues Meeting

Performances by: Max Prandi (vocals and acoustic guitar); Roberto Menabò (vocals and acoustic guitar); Franco Morone (fingerstyle acoustic guitar); Simone Valbonetti & Beppe Semeraro (vocals, acoustic guitar, resonator guitar and harmonica).

A celebration of the “first rural blues”, born in the Mississippi Delta region, and its subsequent evolutions through the various musicians who interpreted and popularized it. Early acoustic blues, from the late 1800s into the early 1900s, is the artistic and musical expression of the African-American population, forced into a life of enormous hardship and marginalization. With several outstanding performers, this event will celebrate this cultural-musical expression, which laid the foundations for all modern and contemporary music.
