Awarding of AMALIA RAMIREZ with the Cremona Musica Award 2023 for guitar lutherie

Amalia Ramirez is the descendant and heir of a century-old tradition in the production of classical guitars. Her ancestors have made the Ramirez brand famous worldwide, thanks to close collaborations and synergies with artists like Andrés Segovia. 140 years of history that are celebrated today with the launch of the new Auditorio guitar and an entire new line of guitars.
The company, founded in 1882 by José Ramirez I, has seen the commitment of Amalia Ramirez for 40 years, one of the first women to enter the world of guitar making, and today sees, under her supervision, the grandchildren Cristina Ramirez and José Enrique Ramirez as continuators of this family saga of luthiers. Ramirez guitars are instruments admired and owned by great concert performers, in whose hands they shine for aesthetic and sound wonders.
Cremona Musica wants to reward this lady, descendant of a large family and excellence in world guitar lutherie, with the Cremona Musica Award 2023.
