Event Details
Thanks to the opportunity offered by the fair and the availability of the members of the Gradus String Quartet, we will be able to showcase the live sound of our Fenice violins, violas, and cellos.
These instruments, specially made for beginners (but not exclusively), make learning easier and more exciting. They are comfortable, offer good sound quality, are aesthetically pleasing, and provide excellent value for money.
At our headquarters in Milan, every instrument is inspected and fine-tuned to ensure our retailers and teachers receive instruments that contribute to a rewarding learning experience.
We believe that starting with a good instrument is the key to becoming a good musician!
After the performance, we look forward to welcoming you at our Fareastviolins – Fenice stand, no. 53, for information and to try out our instruments.
CONTRAPPUNTI – A brief journey through the sounds of the string trio
Music by Bach, Haydn e Mozart
The Gradus Quartet, performing as a string trio, presents a program ranging from Baroque complexity to classical elegance. The repertoire for trio has always had its own distinct character compared to the undoubtedly more well-known string quartet repertoire. The dialogue between the three instruments creates a dense and rich soundscape, constantly seeking a synthesis of virtuosity and lyricism.
MEMBERS OF THE GRADUS STRING QUARTET
Paolo Volta, violin
Luca Meschini, viola
Aldo Farina, cello
The Gradus String Quartet was formed in 1992 through the initiative of a group of musicians trained in the Milan area, with extensive experience in symphonic and chamber ensembles including: RAI di Milano, I Solisti Aquilani, Orchestra da Camera di Bergamo, Gruppo Concertistico della Svizzera Italiana, I Pomeriggi Musicali, Milano Classica, Sinfonica di Sanremo. In addition to an intense concert schedule in Italy and abroad, the quartet has television recordings and recordings for the Ludi Sounds label to its credit. Pieces by Giovanni Grosskopf and Fabrizio Simoneschi, performed as world premieres, are dedicated to the group.
