The Filippo Nicosia International Prize, under the artistic direction of Simone Gramaglia, was created with the aim of supporting young chamber music ensembles by offering them training, visibility, and concrete professional opportunities.
Now in its fifth year, the competition brings together trios and quartets from across Europe for two days of masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians and a day of competition open to the public.
The winner of the 2025 Award will perform for the first time in a concert at Cremona Musica, a prestigious event dedicated to musical and violin-making excellence.
This important event is made possible thanks to the support of GEWA Strings and Larsen Strings, new partners of the Award, and the ongoing collaboration of Casa Musicale Del Rio, which has supported the initiative with generosity and vision for years.
