Marie François is a fiery force at the piano—a young Belgian concert artist who turns every performance into a gallery of the unseen. With eighty-eight keys and ten tireless fingers, she shapes narratives that reach beyond the instrument, drawing listeners into a world where music becomes story. Her energy is contagious—sometimes verging on impatience—because she wants everyone to feel what classical music can do.
In 2023, the pianist embarked on an immersive journey into the world of Frédéric Chopin, spending a month in Warsaw to explore the composer’s cultural, historical, and musical roots. The project followed the complete artistic process behind Chopin’s 21 Nocturnes—from daily study to sharing the experience through an award-winning podcast and a series of intimate recitals inspired by Chopin’s own performance practice, culminating in the recording of the complete cycle. Released in 2025, the double album of the complete Nocturnes has received widespread international critical acclaim.
