Presentation of the series and guitar performance, with Stefano Spallotta (author), Sara Masi (guitarist collaborating on the work and video production supervisor), and Fréderic Zigante, acting as consultant on the work and speaker.

The Guitarclass is a genuine educational project that includes, alongside an extensive selection of studies and study materials, ample multimedia resources, with workbooks and videos supporting the learning path.

The two currently published volumes represent a progressive, rationalized path through specific technical areas, offering for each technical or aesthetic-musical topic a suitably organized selection of studies, accompanied by an extensive introduction.

In addition to the classic founders of guitar technique and historical methods (Aguado, Carulli, Carcassi, Giuliani, Sor), numerous pieces by 20th-century composers are introduced (Brouwer, Carlevaro, Margola, Pujol, Smith-Brindle, Castelnuovo-Tedesco and many others), offering a fresh perspective on the evolution of the instrument’s technique and language.

The presentation will center on a live performance by Sara Masi, who will play pieces from the anthology. The author, supported by critical and musicological insights from M° Zigante, will illustrate the principles behind the editorial choices and how to use the integrated multimedia teaching system, with practical examples and applications.

Stefano Spallotta is a guitarist, teacher, musicologist and composer. He has worked in education for over 30 years; he has taught at music-focused schools and the liceo musicale, and currently teaches guitar at the “L. Perosi” State Conservatory of Music in Campobasso. He has collaborated with several publishers and currently curates the multimedia educational project “The Guitarclass” for Ricordi – Hal Leonard.
