Band music performed exclusively by wind and percussion instruments finds space in the Cremona Musica International Exhibitions and Festival, one of the most prestigious events in the international music scene scheduled at CremonaFiere from 27 to 29 September.
The project stems from the collaboration between the Cremona Musical Bands Coordination; CremonaFiere, and the Cremona Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the aim of promoting and spreading band music as a formative and growth opportunity for musicians and wind instrument enthusiasts who wish to perform in an international context.
A first day of listening in which 9 bands, each composed of 50 instrumentalists, will perform in front of a listening commission composed of international jurors, Jacob De Haan from Holland, Felix Hauswirth from Switzerland and Arturo Andreoli the Italian member. At the end of the performance the bands will receive advice and directions from the three experts with a sheet for formative growth.
There will be no shortage of moments of culture and comparison such as the presentation of the music of the composer Jacob De Haan who will present his works through an overview of his pieces, one of the greatest experts at the international band level. Music and culture thanks to the round table entitled “Bands in Italy and abroad, experiences compared“, where the three jurors will tell their experience for a meeting of knowledge and an international vision.
There will also be space for concerts with the performance of a representative band composed of 85 instrumentalists from Cremona and Mantua who will present a high-profile repertoire and the various pieces will be directed by each member of the listening commission.
