LOVE Synthesizers is a young Icelandic company founded in 2023 by Kári Halldórsson with the aim of rethinking the way musicians interact with FM synthesis. The project was born from the idea of making one of the most powerful forms of synthesis also one of the most intuitive, thanks to an interface that combines touchscreen, physical controls, and an approach strongly oriented towards creative exploration. Already in its first international appearances, the project attracted the attention of the community, winning the Sonic State Award for Best Innovation at Superbooth 2024
What they do
The company’s first instrument, FIRST LOVE, is a completely standalone polyphonic and multi-timbral FM synthesizer designed to offer an immediate and immersive sound design experience. Combining tactile controls, a dynamic graphical interface, and powerful synthesis features, FIRST LOVE makes FM programming accessible to both beginners and experienced sound designers
