di Stefano Prinzivalli
Who are you, what do you do, and what do you look for in music?
My name is Francesco Balossino, and I specialize in the restoration, maintenance, and authenticity appraisal of vintage instruments, particularly period guitars. My work is rooted in researching and preserving the original character of each instrument: each one tells a story, an experience. Discovering and enhancing it means creating a living bridge between past and present. Every instrument has a voice, and my goal is to preserve it and let it resonate again, in the right hands
Cremona, tradition and innovation – how do you see this dialogue?
Cremona has always been a cradle of violin making and musical tradition. Seeing it today embrace the world of electric instruments and innovation is not only inspiring, but necessary. It’s a dialogue that doesn’t distort, but enriches: tradition remains the root, innovation is the growing branch
What will you bring to Electric Sound Village?
I’ll bring a curated selection of vintage instruments, each with a unique story to listen to and touch. But above all, I’ll bring an approach that combines passion, expertise, and a desire to share: I’ll be joined by our ToneTeam, made up of specialized luthiers Romano Burini and Matteo Rufini, along with longtime friends and collaborators from the Isle of Tone collective—experts and collectors of vintage effects, as well as makers of modern effects with an authentic soul.
For me, the Electric Sound Village is first and foremost a space for exchange: between enthusiasts, professionals, and the new generations.
