Tradition and Innovation meet at Cremona Musica International Exhibitions and Festival

Cremona, July 23, 2024 – Cremona becomes the music capital thanks to the Cremona Musica International Exhibitions and Festival, scheduled from September 27 to 29. It is the most important event dedicated to musical instruments in the world and the only Exhibition of its kind in Italy and Europe.

Over 400 exhibitors from 35 countries, including Europe, the USA, Canada, Asia, and Australia, contribute to its unique international character.”

A rich schedule of events, awards, cultural meetings, and presentations of important innovations in the musical field make the Cremona Musica International Exhibitions and Festival a unique event for enthusiasts, musicians, and more.”

An event that manages to join all musical genres, where every instrument finds its place in the only Italian fair entirely dedicated to music with special appointments. From Mondomusica, now known worldwide for high-quality lutherie that brings together the best master luthiers, to the Acoustic Guitar Village, a format that includes the exhibition of guitars, mandolins, ukuleles, charangos, lutherie masterclasses, and guitar teaching, historical exhibitions as well as concerts and seminars, not to mention competitions for emerging artists.

There is also space for the piano thanks to Piano Experience, dedicated to pianos and keyboard instruments, involving both professional and amateur pianists, as well as piano manufacturers who will present their new products. International competitions such as the PianoLink International Amateurs Competition, dedicated to amateur pianists, will also be featured.”

Cremona Winds, with the second edition of the Cremona Band Festival, involves over 400 musicians and the exhibition of instruments and accessories. It is an international trade fair reference that offers high-quality entertainment and performances. Not to forget the Accordion Show, entirely dedicated to the accordion, a musical instrument rooted in popular culture that first appeared in Vienna in 1829.”

The major novelties of the 2024 edition will be: The Electric Sound Village, which skillfully serves as a link between acoustic, classical, modern, and electric lutherie. It is a meeting and discussion point on electric sound with performances and meetings to discover the instruments that have revolutionized music over the past 70 years. Additionally, there will be an area dedicated to the art of Cremonese organ building, a national and international excellence that will be present at Cremona Musica for the first time, with informative events at the fair and concerts in the area.

There will also be space for awards thanks to the Cremona Musica Awards, which are awarded each year to personalities and institutions in the musical world who have achieved excellence in their field.

Three days of events that will animate the streets of the center and the area with events such as Cremona Musica Downtown, Cremona Musica Downtown Giovani, and concerts dedicated to the organs of Crema.
