Wandrè
Info
An absolute Italian genius, unknown in his homeland, Wandrè is an object of worship abroad, where artists, collectors and architects compete for his sculptures that can be enjoyed for music, which have enchanted Celentano, Guccini, Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, Buddy Miller, Joe Perry, Ace Frehley, Sean Lennon, Johnny Deep to name a few.
The fantastic inspiration with which Wandrè organized the work in his utopian factory anticipated Andy Warhol’s Factory by almost four years and Humanistic Management (announced by Minghetti and Cutrano the same year Wandrè left this world) by almost fifty years.
Exposure
Marco Ballestri, a nephrologist by profession, has a passion for violin making and fantastic stories.
In 2002 he accidentally stumbles upon a strange Brigitte Bardot guitar with a candle-smoke finish. Fascinated by the esoteric power of the object, he follows the trail of its creator and discovers an extraordinary character: Wandrè.
