Making its debut this year is the journey that combines quality and craftsmanship of electric sound
by Maria Musti
From September 27 to 29, Cremona Musica International Exhibitions and Festival launches a new space, the Electric Sound Village: joining the Acoustic Guitar Village, the exhibition completes the presentation of the guitar in all its expressions and is aimed at the world of electric lutherie, professionals, and the public looking for something unique.
“This new space will coordinate with the Acoustic Guitar Village and especially with those criteria of quality and historical importance that the city’s lutherie tradition has expressed for centuries,” declares Stefano Prinzivalli, the artistic director of the Electric Sound Village. Born in Parma in 1978, marketing manager of both the Fondazione Museo del Violino di Cremona and Made in Rock APS and Vintage Authority APS, Prinzivalli defines this novelty dedicated to electric sound, debuting at Cremona Musica 2024, as “a new look, a new space, a new sound.”
The Electric Sound Village will be organized into 3 macro-areas, linked by the common thread of quality Enthusiasts will find exhibitors not only of guitars and basses but also of expression pedals, accessories, and amplifiers, always distinguished by particular care and an expressive search as “artisans of sound.” In the second macro-area, companies will take center stage: each, connecting to the same common thread, will tell and present the top of their product range, each with its own story, linked to the ideas and courage of “creatives” and “sound entrepreneurs.”
The last area, which will undoubtedly arouse particular interest, will be dedicated to vintage instruments and memorabilia: on display, starting from the 1950s up to today’s production, will be reference guitars and basses in the sector, but also amplifiers, pedals, and other objects FROM STAGE belonging to musicians and bands that have made history.
Come per tutti i saloni di Cremona Musica, anche l’Electric Sound Village affiancherà alla parte espositiva esibizioni e incontri.
Instruments can be tried in special soundproofed boxes or in silent mode, and there will be live performances on the stages outside Pavilion 1.
